Charters. England; 1352-1599.
1) A deed granting land from John son of Thomas de Fililode to his son
Thomas. Dated "apud .......leye die .... post Sancti Jacobi apostoli
Anno Regni regis Edward tertii post conq. vicesimo quint" (1352).
Parchment; Latin; cursive charter hand; 160 x 196 mm.; wax seal is
preserved. On back is written Phillipps MS 32220.
2) Thomas Cokenhill de Harecote (Hurcott?, a hamlet of Kidderminster-
Foreign). Dated "apud Kedermynster (Kidderminster in Worcestershire)
die Iovis x post festum Sci Thome Apostoli (Dec. 21) Anno regni regis
Edwardi quartii post conquestum Angliae xiii" (Thursday, 31 December
1474). Parchment; Latin; secretary script; 105 x 242 mm.; wax seal is
preserved.
3) Deed conveying land in Shropshire and Worcestershire from John and
Agnes Jurden to John Reynolde, Roger Hubbold and Stephen Smythe. Dated
"Undecimo die augusti anno regni Henri octavi trecesimo" (11 August
1541). Parchment; Latin; Chancery script; 150 x 350 mm.; No seal is
preserved.
4) Deed granting land in Brynsett, Shropshire from William Cureton to
his son William Cureton and his wife Agnes. Dated "decimo die
Septembris anno regni domine Elizabeth . . . decimo quarto. (10
September 1572). Parchment; Latin; Chancery script; 146 x 288 mm.; wax
seal is preserved.
5) Indenture between Edward Lutwyche and Edward Lewes exchanging lands
in Astwall, Shropshire. Written "apud Astwall quinto die Martii Anno
domini 1599 Annoque Regni Domine nostre Elizabeth . . . quadragesimo"
(5 March 1599). Parchment; Latin; Secretary script; 152 x 435 mm.; wax
seal of Edward Lutwyche is partially preserved.
