fees in the Queen's guift. England; 1594. Paper; 46 ff.; 350 x 231 mm.;
1 column, 15-20 lines.
I-XXIII (2). Quires III-XIX are numbered 1-17. Number 18 is
skipped and quires XX-XXII are numbered 19-21.
Ornate cursive script. The headings of various sections are
written in a larger gothic script. Bound in contemporary limp vellum,
with remains of green silk ties.
Bought from Myers in 1956. Bequest of James M. Osborn, 1976.
Comments: This manuscript is a list of the offices in Queen
Elizabeth's service with their fees, and is the only one of such
manuscripts to provide the names of the holders of certain offices.
