          I-VII (4). Catchwords on every verso.

          Italic script. On f. 1, 5 lines of the text are indented to leave
     place for an initial R, which has not been drawn in. Disbound.

          From the library of James Yonge of Plymouth (1646-1721), a
     collector of historical tracts.

          Comments: This manuscript appears to be the author's working draft
     and has many revisions and corrections. It was apparently first
     published in 1595, but the earliest extant edition is from 1597; there
     were reprints under various titles in 1610, 1614, and 1620. The text
     interprets the apocalyptic vision in the eleventh chapter of 4 Esdras
     in the light of contemporary politics and England's eventual triumph
     over France and Spain.
