St. Egidius (Giles) in Little Malvern to Richard, Lord Beauchamp of Powick.
Latin manuscript. England, 1477. Vellum. 1 f. (205 x 355 mm.). Cursive
charter hand. Unbound; seal attached by vellum tag.
Comments: The document is dated 21 October 1477: "vicesimo primo die mensis
octobris anno regni regis eduardi quarti post conquestum anglie sextodecimo."
The vellum tag contains two notations: 4B1 and CCCXCVII. The prior of St.
Giles, referred to in the document as Johannes prior, is John Wyttesham (see
B.S. Smith, A History of Malvern, Leicester University Press, 1964, p. 102).
