Coram Rege Roll (fragment)
Nearly contemporary copy of an extract from a Coram Rege Roll,
involving Iohannes de Burgh, his wife Sibilla, and Nicholas de Burgh;
concerns property dispute in West Bagborough (Somerset). Title reads:
"In banco Regis de termino Michaelis anno regis Ricardi quartodecimo.
Rotulum lviii."
Single parchment membrane measuring 435 x 244 mm. Written in
Anglicana bookhand. Badly mutilated with loss of text; stains
along left margin suggest it formerly served as a flyleaf.
Written in England at the end of the 14th century; provenance
unknown for there are no library records concerning it.
Bibliography: De Ricci, v. 2, p. 2253, no. 62.
